This position is accountable for the delivery of exceptional customer service through the efficient handling of all over-the-counter transactions, demonstrating a functional knowledge of the bank's products and services, and assisting management in daily operational procedures including PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.
Balance currency, coin, and checks in cash drawers at ends of shifts, and calculate daily transactions using computers, calculators, or adding machines.
2.
Cash checks and pay out money after verifying that signatures are correct, that written and numerical amounts agree, and that accounts have sufficient funds.
3.
Manage cash supply for the office including the ATM.
4.
Responsible for ensuring the vault is balanced daily.
5.
Provide direction to other Tellers including authorizing larger, more complex transactions.
6.
Utilize the bank's deposit platform system to open deposit accounts.
7.
Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts, and check accuracy of deposit slips.
8.
Examine checks for endorsements and to verify other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the documents.
9.
Enter customers' transactions into computers in order to record transactions and issue computer- generated receipts.
10.
Count currency, coins, and checks received, by hand or using currency-counting machine, in order to prepare them for deposit or shipment to branch banks or the Federal Reserve Bank.
11.
Prepare and verify cashier's checks.
Arrange monies received in cash boxes and coin dispensers according to denomination.
12.
Process transactions such as term deposits, retirement savings plan contributions, automated teller transactions, night deposits, and mail deposits.
13.
Receive mortgage, loan, or public utility bill payments, verifying payment dates and amounts due.
14.
Resolve problems or discrepancies concerning customers' accounts.
15.
Explain, promote, or sell products or services, such as cashier's checks, using computerized information about customers to tailor recommendations.
16.
Carry out special services for customers, such as ordering bank cards and checks.

As needed, performs platform clerical tasks such as account set-ups, filing, inventory control, internal audits, etc.
16.
Adheres to compliance, security and internal guidelines and requirements for teller performance.
17.
Responsible for adherence to bank's operational compliance and security polices and applicable state and federal laws.
18.
Responsible for preparing Currency Transaction Reports for review and reporting.
19.
Performs other duties as assigned by management 20.

Bank teller experience required Education:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
